Carter Vaggio
is a famous portrait painter as well as a vampire. Hired by
Victoria Aragon’s grandmother, Carter figures she will be another
high society empty-headed model. Meeting her changes his opinion
and Carter finds himself slowly falling under the spell that is
Victoria. Like a slow, quiet breeze, she comforts him and he finds
that he wants the ultimate¾her
love.
Victoria
Aragon is biding her time until she can access her trust fund
without having to deal with her mean and hateful grandmother. When
she is told to go to have her portrait painted, Victoria is happy
for the time away from the hell that is her home life. She doesn’t
count on wanting to seduce the painter nor does she count on the
fact that he is not quite human.
Portrait
of Seduction was a
spectacular read. I loved how Madison Chase slowly let Victoria’s
presence invade Carter’s home and wrap her desire around him. Since
he is a vampire, I understand Victoria’s dismay and often inability
to believe in the supernatural. However, once she decided that she
loved Carter, the rest was all gravy.
If you love
vampire tales, then Portrait of Seduction is a must
read. I find myself shying away from vampires at times but I am so
glad that I didn’t do that with Portrait of Seduction.
This is one vampire book headed to the keeper shelf!
