Rath accompanied Dan to Niagara Falls so that he could find some answers about his past.  Although not true brothers, they had both been adopted together, and Rath would help Dan as much as he could as they searched for the demon Grant.

Arriving at the Falls, the two narrowly miss hitting a young child, Angel.  As they get to know Angel and her mother, Destiny, it soon becomes apparent that the two are in danger.  Rath’s protective instincts come out, but for more than just the mere reason of wanting to help someone.  It is very possible that this woman is his mate.

Destiny is yet another exciting chapter into the world L. Shannon has created.  There is so much going on and so many intriguing characters – Dan trying to find the truth of his heritage, a thieving gypsy with secrets of her own, the demon Grant seems more of a player than a demonic being, Destiny and Angel trying to survive on their own, and much more.  The books in the various Valfarn Clans Series are not being published in chronological order, so you may be surprised to find a character here and there, that you’ve met later in their lives.  However, this book does stand on its own.  I look forward to the next book in this series.
