When a tumor threatens Caterina Shaw’s
life, she agrees to an experimental gene treatment in hopes
of getting her music back before she dies. Now she is on the
run and scared. All she knows is she needs to get somewhere
safe before her new powers take over.
Mick Carrera is hired to hunt down and
kill, if necessary, Caterina. He is told she is a deadly
killer, but when he finds her something isn’t right. The
woman he sees is far from a vicious murderer. Before he can
turn her in, he needs to get to the bottom of the situation
or they both end up dead.
Sins of the Flesh is
engaging from beginning to end. I started reading and before
I knew it I was over half way done. I needed to know what
was going on with Caterina just as much as she and Mick did.
I really liked how Caterina is so vunerable, yet strong. I
also liked how Mick didn’t just shoot first and ask
questions later.
The supporting characters where
wonderful too and I could see how Caridad Pineiro was
working on making Sins of the Flesh into a
series. The epilogue will have you asking, why isn’t the
second story finished yet, I want to read it.
All and all, Sins of the Flesh
is a very enjoyable book with enough twists and turns to
keep me interested in the story and want more. I will be
looking for more books by Ms. Pineiro and can’t wait for the
second story. |
