When Lionel Beaumont was ten, he had an
accident that left him in a comma for weeks. When he awoke,
he had no memory of his life. Years later, Lionel is still
wondering who he is and why he feels so adrift in his life -
until he meets Ben Whittaker. Is Ben the man of his dreams,
or just another puzzle for him to figure out?
What starts off intriguing, quickly becomes engrossing in
Guardian. It’s a short story that gently pulls
you in until its dramatic and climactic ending. I
empathized with Lionel’s anguish and Ben’s forwardness
stirred my curiosity even further. Kalita Kasar pens an
incredibly poignant and very creative story with
Guardian that left chills on my arms and a tear in
my eye. |
