After a terrible experience while under
deep cover in a biker gang, Brian Storm ends up in the
hospital. Dr. Stan Gordon treats him. To his surprise, he
finds himself attracted to the handsome doctor.
Unfortunately, he’s got a lot to deal with before he can
think about any kind of relationship.
Dr. Stan Gordon isn’t happy to find
himself attracted to a patient. Dating a patient would be
unethical at best. Still, he can’t seem to forget about the
good-looking cop…
Forbidden Desire deals with the aftermath of
trauma, and its effects on both the victim and others.
Detective Brian Storm is a strong character, and I thought
the way he dealt with his experiences was realistic. His
guilt, anger, and desire to move on with Stan were all very
believable. Stan is also a likable character. He’s sweet,
caring, and helpful. The conflict is a lot less
action-packed and more emotion-based than I expected, but
it’s still interesting. My advice: ignore the cover, and
pick this one up for the sweet emotional journey rather than
expecting action and adventure. |
