Ryne’s life is a mess. She is a Gineal
troubleshooter, which is a dangerous profession and keeps her
busy. It is a profession that has her protecting both Gineal
and Human from magic. She is also tracking her former mentor
Anise, which is a full-time job in itself. At the same time,
everyone wonders whether she has succumbed to the dark magic.
Life is not easy.
Deke Summers, PI, is having trouble
remembering reality. This is the result of a curse placed on
him by Anise. What makes it worse is he knows something that
can defeat Anise, if only he can remember.
Together they need to figure out how to
defeat Anise or they may be killed trying. Fighting her
attraction to Deke makes Ryne’s life even more interesting.
What will they need to do to defeat Anise and lift the curse?
In the Midnight Hour is a
book that captivates the reader from the start with fast-paced
action. Patti O’Shea writes a tale that has the reader losing
themselves in a world where magic is a way of life. Deke and
Ryne’s imperfections make them a good combination. Ms. O’Shea
makes the reader care about both the main and backup
characters while not overdoing the plot points. In the
Midnight Hour is an excellent book and a joy to read. |
