As a means to end the war, a marriage is proposed between the two strongest realms.  Tiesa of Adras is prepared to marry Arcen of Amal.  Many oppose the union and attempt to murder Tiesa before she can form a bond.  A’kin is assigned protector of Tiesa at the request of Arcen.  Thrown together in hiding, love grows between A’kin and Tiesa.

A Vexed Heart is a complex story with many plots and characters.  Angelica Hart & Zi illustrate very active imaginations in this creation of fantasy.  I was somewhat overwhelmed attempting to follow the story line.
