An angel warrior
and the eldest male of the nine Lehor siblings, archangel
Ramiel has always put the needs of others before his own.
Having made an open-ended vow to the fairy Nissa in order to
save his youngest brother’s life, Ramiel never expected what
Nissa would request of him to fulfill his promise – he is to
take her as his mate. Ramiel has never considered taking a
mate and he isn’t too happy to have one forced on him; even
one as lovely as Nissa.
A fairy princess
who watched her own family’s slaughter, Nissa has been on
the run from assassins for most of her life. Now, to
protect herself and her young ward, Nissa thinks to ally
herself with a powerful archangel. And none fit the bill
quite like Ramiel, a male she dreamed of for months before
she ever met him. Nissa knows Ramiel’s only marrying her
because of his vow, yet she can’t help the strong attraction
she feels for her soon-to-be mate. But even as desire pulls
the pair closer together, Nissa’s past and the angel
warriors’ present collide in a way that could forever tear
the lovers apart.
Passion burns
bright against the backdrop of battle and wartime politics
in An Angel’s Hope. Stephani Hecht has
created another masterpiece in this fantastic new addition
to the Archangel Series.
Like all the
Lehor siblings, Ramiel has a strong protective streak which,
in his case, is heightened by his status as one of the
eldest members of his family. I adored him for his loyalty
to his loved ones (and his innate sexual appeal didn’t hurt
either). Nissa ranks right up there with Rachael as one of
my favorite of Ms. Hecht’s heroines. She’s a survivor:
smart, quick, and a fighter to her core. Her past has made
it difficult for her to trust anyone, but I loved how she
slowly let her guard down around Ramiel and the others of
her new family who reached out to her.
An Angel’s Hope
is centered more around love and the bonds of family and
friendship than Heaven’s civil war. I loved the change of
pace, in part because I’m crazy about the Lehor family,
their mates, and friends. Do not, however, think that the
war is forgotten. Battles still rage on and Ramiel and
Nissa’s mating has a definite impact on the angel warriors’
intent to gain the fairies’ assistance in fighting their
war.
The ninth book
in the Archangel series, An Angel’s Hope does
contain enough background information for someone unfamiliar
with the series to follow along. However, to feel the full
impact of the differing storylines and various characters,
it’s best to start the series from the beginning with
Angel Warriors. New and old fans alike are sure to fall
under the spell of Ramiel and Nissa’s romance. Filled with
love, laughter, and hope even in the darkest of times,
An Angel’s Hope is pure pleasure to read.
