Charlotte Court’s father Philip is dying a slow death from
cancer. Not slow enough for Robert Haine, though.
Haine wants the eight billion dollars that taking
over Court Industries will bring him after Philip’s death.
Charlotte will have to die, too, in order for him to get his
hands on it, though. Haine is working on that little problem
as well.
Charlotte is running for her life. Haine has framed
her for her father’s murder. She has nowhere to go, she’s
running out money, and she’s wounded.
Lieutenant Matthew Sanders is lucky to be alive. After being
badly wounded on a mission in Afghanistan, he struggled back
from the brink of death. Once healed enough to leave the VA
hospital, he heads to Mexico to stay with his friend where
he begins the hard and long road to recovery. It’s there
that Matt meets his guardian angel. They have never spoken.
He doesn’t even know her name yet, but for months, his angel
has cheered him on. Her silent encouragement works, bringing
Matt back to life. Then it’s his turn to save her.
Matt knows Charlotte is hiding something from him. If
he can convince her to trust him and tell him what’s
happened before trouble finds her, he might be able to save
her life again.
Pursuit
is perfect! It’s page after page of suspense and excitement.
Matt is magnificent and Charlotte is beautiful --
inside and out. I was riveted to the villain’s every move
and I fell in love with the picturesque beauty of Mexico.
Elizabeth Jennings is one of my favorite authors. I know I’m
going to love her books even before I read the first page.
Pursuit is
everything I hoped it would be and more. It’s deeply
sensual, romantic, suspenseful, full of action, and a little
dark, too. It’s
perfect!
