Fashion photographer Finn, is in the mountains of Montana.  Running a shoot he hates for his boss, when he meets stylist Josh.  Immediately, he and Josh click both personally and professionally, and despite Finnís numerous issues they begin a relationship.  Finn, however, has never wanted to accept that heís gay. As well they live on opposite coasts.  Can their relationship survive the many obstacles they face?

Between Want and Need To is an absolutely beautiful story.  Finn and Josh are very different superficially, with Josh being openly gay and Finn being in denial, but at the same time they are very similar.  They both have scars, Finnís emotional and Joshís physical.  Though Finnís past is truly horrifying, Kris Dylan did a wonderful job of dealing with Finnís childhood of abuse and his slow, painful journey to healing.  The story provides a journey for the reader as well, and I alternately teared up, smiled, and even laughed out loud over the course of this book.  Between Want and Need To is an uplifting story of the redemptive power of love, and well deserving of being a Recommended Read!
