Prince Rathian is the Commander of the
Vanguard, fighting a war against Villious that he just wants
to end, but dark forces are gathering that the Prince might
not be able to stop alone.
Stakel is forced to serve the Villious
as one of the Queen’s Consorts and he just wants to go home to
the land he was stolen from.
Rathian’s army captures Stakel when he
is left for dead by his own people. When Rathian is taken to
the prisoner, he feels an immediate connection to the strange
captive.
Can Rathian and Stakel overcome being
enemys to become something more? Will Rathian’s troops get in
the way of their love? Will the dark forces destroy the two
before they even have a chance at happiness?
The Vanguard is an
intriguing story of love, lust, and betrayal. At first, I
wasn’t sure if I would like the back drop of The
Vanguard, but T.A. Chase has created a world so rich
in detail, it becomes a character in the story. Mr. Chase has
a way of making his characters come to life and they drag you
into the story. The Vanguard is no exception.
My heart broke for Stakel and all he was
forced to endure, but Rathian helps make up for some of the
pain in Stakel’s past. Rathian is a wonderfully loyal and
proud character and just the man for Stakel. The passion and
love these two share is beautiful.
Mr. Chase has such a way with
characters and emotion that I am Joyfully Recommending
The Vanguard and hope Mr. Chase might revisit the word
of Rathian and Stakel. |
