Meg is just keeping her head above water
these days and the pressure from Michael and her father,
Julian, is not helping her any. Right now, Meg needs to tame
the maelstrom of magic left behind by the misuse and death of
Roland, while hiding the fact that Michael is a witch, too,
and not let herself get roped into becoming Grand Dame, which
she absolutely refuses to do. However, as the politics get
more complicated and Meg is involuntarily pushed into the
middle of a politically explosive struggle by the different
factions in the area, she will have to juggle things very,
very carefully to stay out of it all.
The Lion’s Share is a
fast-paced and action-packed story that follows Meg’s
reluctant acceptance of her place in the magical world. As
before, Jet Mykles packs this story with sensuality and enough
intrigue, danger, and passion to keep you glued to your seat,
turning the pages well past your bedtime. Meg continues to
deny her magical strength, even in the face of evidence to the
contrary, while Michael continues to push her into realizing
her potential – but to what end? Michael has his own agenda,
which will seem incomprehensible until their relationship is
attacked. Then Meg will stop at nothing to get him back,
which leads to a satisfying resolution of all the issues
touched upon in the previous books, while leaving the door
open to future sequels. Rudy, like in previous occasions, is
the stabilizing force in the trio with his unwavering support
of Meg and Michael, while keeping them together and on an even
keel. All three are absolutely explosive when they come
together, which you will not want to miss! The Lion’s
Share is among my favorite ménage books with its
magical doings and fast moving plot. Don’t miss out, pick up
