Kevin Quinn is a psychic who uses his
new abilities to help the police solve crimes. Kevin is in
California working with new detective Connor Dougal trying
to discover the whereabouts of several missing boys. Connor,
along with just about everyone else, doesn’t believe in
Kevin’s “abilities” until he gets a front row seat to one of
Kevin’s reactions. Kevin is trying desperately to make
sense of the images he sees and Connor is trying to make
sense of his feelings for Kevin. Connor’s past has come back
to haunt him and it may cost him a chance at a future with
Kevin, as well as his life.
The suspense is high, the crimes are
grisly, and the love affair is smoking in The Long Way
Home. Connor and Kevin are amazing. They have an
incredible connection that translates fluidly from emotional
to physical. There is enough angst, passion, and need in
their relationship to fill every page, but the added bonus
of The Long Way Home’s thrilling mystery is
the icing on the cake. Connor and Kevin are pretty regular
guys (with the exception of Kevin’s psychic ability) going
through some really extraordinary situations. They have some
very hot sex, experience real life dilemmas and deal with a
crazy psychopath. The Long Way Home is well
written and full of excitement, drama, and witty dialog. The
ending is clever and really fun. The Long Way Home
stuck with me long after I finished reading it. |
