Leon Galdone lived alone, caring for travelers passing through the Tube at his space station.  He saw many a traveler pass through but no one caught his attention except anthropological linguist Endil Taoi-Sothica. Sitting one day at the table in his place, he had an unscheduled arrival and to his amazement it was the one man who could make his heart jump and his feet feel like lead.
