Ryuhei Nakamura and his love Kiyoshi
were to spend eternity together but that ended 84 years ago
when Kiyoshi was killed. Today, Ryu would give anything to
have his Kiyoshi back. When he hears Jesse Shigeta play a
song that no one alive should know, he begins to think he
might just have gotten his wish.
Jesse knows all about Ryu because he
has heard about Ryu his entire life from his ghostfriend.
Jesse’s ghostfriend is Kiyoshi and Jesse has promised to
help reunite him with Ryu. Until Jesse meets Ryu. Even as he
feels guilty for betraying his friend, Jesse lets Ryu
believe that he is the reincarnation of Kiyoshi. After all,
this is the man Jesse loves.
As Jesse gets deeper into his
relationship with Ryu, Kiyoshi finds that his anger is
making him more solid. Now the question is…will Kiyoshi’s
anger destroy them all?
Lost Soulswas not exactly what I was
expecting. Probably because I was in the mood for something
light at the time. As with other books by Barbara Sheridan
and Anne Cain, it was darker than I normally like but
overall it was very interesting. The romance is not the
average run of the mill romance. It is different from your
normal happily ever after but in the end it works. I think
fans of darker fiction will like everything about it. |
