Lord Bramwell Johns is the younger son
of a Duke and is pretty much considered non-existent and
unimportant. His father’s heir has produced the required
child so Bram can now enjoy life as he was meant to – as a
libertine and scoundrel. His two best friends have
succumbed to the shackles of marriage and while they seem
blissfully happy, Bram isn’t going to dare take a chance on
following in their footsteps.
Fate has a funny way of making even the
most reluctant of men fall in love. I adored watching Bram,
who was Always a Scoundrel , fall in love. He
fought a good fight – he really did. He was irreverent,
unapologetic, and simply one of the most fun heroes I have
ever had the chance to read about. He made me smile and his
fall into his ladylove’s arms just made me grin with glee.
Suzanne Enoch continues to pen highly fun and spirited
historical romances. Her characters connect with a
sensuality that is hard to miss. Always a Scoundrel
is the third book of Ms. Enoch’s Notorious Gentlemen
series and as a reader I would suggest beginning with the
first book, After the Kiss. |
