Lord Bramwell Johns is the younger son of a Duke and is pretty much considered non-existent and unimportant.  His father’s heir has produced the required child so Bram can now enjoy life as he was meant to – as a libertine and scoundrel.  His two best friends have succumbed to the shackles of marriage and while they seem blissfully happy, Bram isn’t going to dare take a chance on following in their footsteps.

Fate has a funny way of making even the most reluctant of men fall in love.  I adored watching Bram, who was Always a Scoundrel , fall in love.  He fought a good fight – he really did.  He was irreverent, unapologetic, and simply one of the most fun heroes I have ever had the chance to read about.  He made me smile and his fall into his ladylove’s arms just made me grin with glee.
