Garth Talent and Peter Nightrider were close friends in high school. One night of passion changed things though.  Garth headed to law school and Peter started a band. They havenít seen each other in years.  Then Peter shows up needing legal assistance and the spark that was between them once burns hotter than ever. Peter is a playboy and Garth isnít interested in being one of his groupies. Peter has a few surprises for Garth. Heís not exactly what he seems.

You Were Always on My Mind had the potential to be hot, interesting and really romantic but it fell just shy. Peterís words and mannerisms are a bit harsh. He comes across as party guy then attempts to be the opposite. It doesnít really work. Garth has a little too much self doubt for a successful man, but in general, heís sweet and his eagerness for Peter is charming. For most of the story, Peter is portrayed as a playboy but then the truth comes out and it seems a bit contrived. Peterís legal worries are never resolved, so the story doesnít get far. It moves a little too fast as far as Peterís and Garthís relationship is concerned. You Were Always on My Mind is an okay story but there isnít a lot of depth or true emotion in it.
