Tyler Blackthorn has been married over
ten times. In futuristic world where women have no rights
and are ruled by their families, Tyler is somewhat of a
savior. He is in high demand as a groom despite his status
as a divorced man many times over. He does his part to
thwart a government he does not agree with by purchasing
brides at bride auctions and then setting them free by
divorcing them, thus leaving them free to marry men of their
choice. His heart is never involved, and the marriages are
never consummated - at least not until Tyler rescues
Veronica Moorehouse from her own auction, and makes her his
bride.
Book four of The Wives Tales series,
The Mercenary’s Wife is an interesting and
entraining read. Each of the characters was written in such
a believable way that they could be someone I know. I found
the plot unique and the love scenes steaming hot. And to be
honest, Tyler Blackthorn can rescue me any day.
The Mercenary’s Wife is a
great addition to my bookshelf. But then again, anything
written by Lara Santiago is a keeper! |
