Kala is in charge of security on
Spaceport Adana and works way too much according to her desk
sergeant. When she makes a deal to have sex with someone in
order to get the sergeant off her back, she feels as though
she's been played, but a deal is a deal. After all, what can
possibly happen if she picks out a complete and total
stranger and just gets it done? Well, probably nothing,
except she has to go and pick Captain Jack Dancer. The
hottest man to hit Adana in a long time.
I have read a few of the Spaceport
books, and have enjoyed all of them to varying degrees.
Spaceport: Security by Shelby Morgen is no
exception. One of my favorite things about these shared
universes is you often get to see little hints of other
books, either already published, or yet to come. And Ms.
Morgen whet my appetite for one character in particular, and
I can't wait to see his story. My favorite part of
Spaceport: Security in particular is the kick-ass
heroine that goes after what she wants. That's my kind of
gal. One warning to those of faint of heart, although
tastefully done, there is sex with a were-animal in shifted
form in this story. It was done well enough, though, that it
didn't bother me as those scenes tend to do. |
