Forrest Jankowski is the bane of Josie
Weston’s existence. Josie thinks he waltzed in to dash all
her dreams of buying into his sister’s health food café.
Not only that, but he is a kook who thinks he can see the
future.
When Forrest has a vision showing him
that Josie’s life is in danger, he has to do what it takes
to make her believe in his abilities.
Can Josie believe in Forrest? Will
Forrest be able to convince Josie that he is the real deal
and not a threat to all her hopes and dreams?
In the Cards is aces in
my book. Liz Andrews’ characters are so real with flaws
that almost made me believe Forrest and Josie would never
get together.
Josie is so strong on the out side,
unsure on the inside, and quick to shut Forrest out before
giving him a chance. She thinks he is a flake and it upsets
her when he flirts with other women. That should have been
her first clue that she has more feelings for Forrest, but
she shuts him out because of his gifts.
Forrest is a little insecure himself
with the secrets that he must keep. When the two are thrown
together to save Josie’s life, sparks fly. Ms. Andrews has
a way with words that draws me in and I hope to read more
about Forrest’s sibling soon. |
