As an author of travel guides, Rick
Sullivan spends his time traveling wherever he wants. He
loves his job and being able to see the world. At the
Dominici Vineyards in Italy, however, he begins to feel the
urge to stay when he meets the sexy Adriano Dominici.
Months later, Adriano and Rick’s hot
affair comes to a horrible end. Rick flees to a tiny cabin
in San Luca, Italy, where he tries to forget about their
relationship. Until a battered, bruised Adriano appears at
his cabin, unable to remember large chunks of his past or
form new memories…
I’m a huge Willa Okati fan, but I admit
I was a bit disappointed in Forever Today. I
liked Rick, who was easy to sympathize with. The Italian
setting and secondary characters were great. The storyline
was like a soap-opera plot, only cooler because it was m/m
and set in Italy. The only thing I really didn’t like about
Forever Today was Adriano. During the middle
of the book when he had memory issues, Adriano was sweet and
caring. The rest of the time, however, he came across as an
arrogant, self-centered jerk. I found it difficult to
believe Rick would fall in love with such a man when all I
wanted to do was slap him. That said, Forever Today
is still an engaging book with lots of trademark Willa Okati
hotness. |
