Annie Wycliffe is running from her
stepfather. Etienne Deveraux plans to greet the sun. Both
alone, each needing the other. The strong attraction scares
Annie and Etienne but for different reasons. Annie doesn't
get close to anyone so she is free to leave when she has to.
Etienne doesn't want Annie to know what he is but he can't
control the need he has for her. When he hears what Annie's
stepfather wants from her, Etienne swears to never let him
touch her. But can he keep that promise?
While the intense relationship that
springs up between Annie and Etienne is extremely hot, I was
a little let down. Dead Awakening is an okay
book but it's not as good as other books I've read by Ms.
McKade. I did learn a little more about reading tarot cards,
though. |
