| O’Malley women have been kidnapped by the Quinn men for
hundreds of years. Their families have been enemies for
longer. Sinead O’Malley has been kidnapped by Jack Quinn. She
is not impressed. He wants her hand in marriage, a child and
her submission. Yet, at the same time it is quite appealing,
not that she will admit to it. Jack Quinn wants to end the
hundreds of years old curse between the Quinns and O’Malleys.
The way to do it is to kidnap and marry Sinead O’Malley.
Fortunately, she appeals to him. Now he just has to convince
her.
When Irish Eyes Are Smiling has a good yet
unrealistic premise. The details and descriptions are decently
written. Yet, the characters and their actions did not draw me
in and as such I could not get fully into the story. This is a
book that would not be bad for a rainy day afternoon and does
interest me in reading more of Christy Lockhart’s writing to
see how she develops her writing skills. |
