Kay was a street kid and a prostitute when he was introduced to Barney.  Barney lost his sight in an accident and Kay helps him with the daily struggles caused by his blindness.  Kay doesn’t think he is good enough to gain Barney’s affection, but Barney proves him wrong when he shows him how he feels about him.
