Huddling from her mother’s boyfriend, a
young Paige isn’t sure where Sachin, her savior, came from.
All she knows is he prevented her from sure torture at the
hands of her mother’s killer. Sachin isn’t sure why he feels
an overwhelming protectiveness for the bruised and battered
young woman, but he knows that’s all he can feel because he’s
not from this realm. An advisor to the King of Accipitridae,
Sachin is fearless except when it comes to acknowledging his
feelings for the woman Paige has come to be. After an extended
absence, Sachin comes back to find Paige engaged to a local
human, and he will have to come to terms with his feelings if
he doesn’t want to lose Paige forever.
In a story that had me smiling for both
amusement and excitement, A View to a Kill is a
great addition to a series about a breed of bird shifters. A
warrior but full-blooded woman lover at heart, Sachin had to
be one of the densest heroes I’ve had the pleasure of wanting
to slap. A true alpha male with a little jerk in him, his
“you’re my woman” mindset was a little heavy handed, but made
this story fun to read. I’m glad Paige didn’t turn out to be a
pushover and showed she was stronger than her past and not
willing to be someone’s doormat. Mandy M. Roth has created an
interesting tale and this series is one I will definitely keep
my eye on. |
