Wyatt Yarbro has come to Stone Creek to
get a fresh start. He’s done being an outlaw, but when a man
robbed trains for a living, it’s hard for people to see
anything but the outlaw he once was. Wyatt’s not in town
long when he sees Sarah Tamlin. He decides that she’s the
woman he wants to settle down with, but Sarah is too busy
hiding secrets to make time for love. Between her father’s
ailing health and her past coming back to haunt her, Sarah’s
got her hands full. Wyatt and Sarah will have to learn to
trust each other if they’re going to find the happiness they
want. They also have to hope that Sarah’s enemy stays away.
I’ve always enjoyed the authenticity of Linda Lael Miller’s
westerns. That authenticity is always accompanied by a good
dose of angst and strong emotion. The Rustler
has all that. My heart broke for Wyatt when Sarah made a
choice that hurt him. Wyatt’s life was full of uncertainties
and just when he thought he had broken free of his past it
came back to bite him. Sarah’s responsibilities nearly
overwhelmed her. She’s strong, capable, and passionate in
her beliefs. Owen is a very sweet boy. I love the innocent
joy he brings to Sarah and Wyatt’s lives. The Rustler
has romance, great sex, and some danger and excitement. It’s
a good story. |
