Angel Henderson has struck out on love.
She was dumped by her fiancé and then found herself
rebounding to another man only to have him dump her too. So,
when the 10 year younger Sheriff’s deputy Troy Lee Farr
tells her he wants a chance with her, she’s not sure she’s
ready to take a chance with her heart again. Troy Lee puts
all he has into convincing Angel that he’s the man for her.
However, just when it seems like they may have a future
together Angel’s past may cost them their chance at
happiness
I have read each and every Linda
Winfree book available. I mean I’ve devoured them as
soon as I could. In fact, I can’t think of one that I
reviewed that I haven’t Joyfully Recommended.
Unfortunately Fall Into Me literally
stunned me and not in a good way. I have to admit that
Angel wasn’t exactly the heroine I truly wanted for Troy
Lee. I mean when the readers last saw her she had a one
night stand with the hero from the last Hearts of the
South book, Cookie. But like the true craftsman I
know her to be Linda Winfree made me start liking Angel.
I wanted more of Angel and Troy Lee, I was falling in
love with them. Right up until moment that Angel was
destroyed for me with her interference in Tori and
Cookie's happy ever after. Then, in all honesty, I hated
her. I’d waited forever, or at least many books,
for Cookie and Tori, from Hearts Awakened to
finally have their happily ever after only to have their
story taken from them in a cruel twist in Fall
Into Me. Readers who waited for Cookie and Tori,
and loved them, would do well to be forewarned and
prepared for heartbreak. Linda Winfree remains an author
whose books I will be looking for but sadly Fall
Into Me made me angry, sad and by the end of the
book just plain let down, something I can’t remember
ever being after reading Linda Winfree before.
