Annie Miller is a widow with five
children and as such, barely has time to think about herself
and her needs. Her children have had to come first and
foremost but that has left Annie a bit fidgety. Her sister
comes to her rescue when she signs Annie up for a contest
which Annie later wins. The contest prize, sponsored by the
Channel, a network exclusively for women and their
fantasies, is like a dream come true. Annie is introduced
to the magical Channel for the first time and her life and
experiences will never be the same.
To be honest, I am not sure I liked
Dangerous Pleasures or not. A huge fan of
Bertrice Small from way back, I just find myself hesitant to
like this book. On one hand, it seemed completely sex
driven without emotions and feelings. Then, on the other,
the sexual fantasies Anne and her beastly lover played out
were scorching hot and more often than not enticingly
kinky.
Dangerous Pleasures is the fourth book in
Bertrice Small’s Pleasures series. It was more
erotica than romance in my opinion but extremely well
written. The romantic in me wanted tenderness in the pages
of Dangerous Pleasures and while yes, there
was some, there was not enough to sooth my romance loving
soul. I would recommend being very careful before expecting
a true romance from Dangerous Pleasures. |
