Exhausted, overworked Brian only intends to buy a few groceries and treats for his cat when he goes to a local megastore.  While making a quick stop in the hair-care aisle, however, he finds a lot more than he bargained for…

Brush with Desire is a quick, hot little tale of finding romance in a most unexpected place.  Brian is a funny character—prone to over-thinking, insecure, and quirky almost to the point of neurotic.  His cat, one of the sources of his neurotic behavior, is a fun addition.  Dale, the man he meets in the hair-care aisle, is less well developed.  Dale is sexy with a dominant, alpha edge, but I never really got to see through his eyes.  Things seemed to move very quickly between Brian and Dale, and the ending was abrupt.  I wanted a bit more.  Even so, the scenes between them were amusing and sometimes spicy.  There’s a hint of D/s here, enough to add interest without making Brush with Desire a BDSM story.  If you’re in the mood for a fast, fun read with a bit of heat, pick up Brush with Desire.
