At an archeological dig in Arizona,
Lauren Cole is taking photos while her fiancé, Professor
Randy Anders, leads the expedition. Lauren and Randy plan
to be married and while she is glad to be out of Los
Angeles, she can’t help but wish Randy were a bit more
adventurous in the bedroom. While on the dig it seems as if
Randy doesn’t even know she exists. Catching Randy in a
compromising position with a female student, Lauren can’t
believe her eyes but hastily slips away and comes face to
face with Baudouin Delacor, a werewolf. Baudouin knows the
evil that has invaded Lauren’s camp and will stop at nothing
to destroy the succubus preying on the innocent party.
BloodWolf was a different
look at werewolves. I was disappointed in the ending of
BloodWolf but after thinking about it, am unsure
if Ms. Dafoe could have ended it any other way. Lauren came
across a bit whiny to me, especially when trying to get
Randy in the sack. I wanted to remind her that Randy was
working, and as such, she needed to back off and let him do
his job. Randy’s behavior, however, was just as confusing.
He sent mixed signals to Lauren and I never really believed
that he loved her.
BloodWolf’s surprise ending got me though I
felt it was a bit too hurried. The plot and premise of
BloodWolf was attention grabbing and while I
probably won’t read this book again, I am glad I read it the
first time. I liked the experience of reading something
new. |
