Years ago, Miles had run away from home after being badly beaten by his father. He left behind his best friend and first love, Dillion. Now returning to where he grew up after his father’s death he gets into an accident to avoid hitting a house. On foot, he finishes the walk to the homestead only to find that Dillion is still on the ranch.

Times passes but not all things change. Feelings can remain the same or even grow stronger. After Miles’ return home, he wonders if he could have stayed and not missed out on all those years with the one person who completed his life. The Runaway is a great story about facing your fears and conquering them. Well worth the read.
