Casey can’t seem to catch a break.
Everyone seems interested in telling her what her ex-husband
is up to these days. No one seems to take her hints that he
is her ex and she isn’t interested. One thing that still
makes her smile is the emails from her aunt though.
Through her aunt’s emails (and subtle
matchmaking) she is now corresponding with a colleague of
her uncle. Daniel is kind of geeky but super sweet. Now
she finds she can’t wait until she gets home to see if he
has written.
Just when it looks like she might have
really found her love match she is stunned to find out he is
engaged. She can’t believe it, and cuts all ties with him,
and sets out to mend her broken heart.
But is the engagement just one huge
misunderstanding? Will Casey forgive Daniel, or move on to
another.
Having met my husband in an online chat
room more than a decade ago I have a special spot in my
heart for romances that start online and Ms. Barrett does a
fine job with Love on a Wire fitting into that
special place. I enjoyed the interaction between Casey and
Daniel and how they come to rely on the emails as part of
their day. I enjoyed this fast paced story and think you
will also. |
