Melanie Anderson rents space from her longtime friend and mentor Sally to run her small charter service, Anderson Air. Mel lives, eats and breathes flying. She always has, and she always will.  In return for a lower fee, Mel manages the North Beach Airport for Sally as well.  Bills are piling up and things havenít been running smoothly for a while though, so when Bo Black steps back into the picture, Melís full plate begins to overflow.  Mel and Bo met ten years ago when they were teenagers and Boís dad Eddie fell for Sally. Things went bad for Eddie, and subsequently Bo, and now Boís back to find out what really happened between Eddie and Sally.  Mel wants Bo out of her airport before he takes control of it and her heart. It seems sheís too late though; Bo captured her heart ten years ago.

Aussie Rules is a reissue.

Aussie Rules has sexual tension so thick you can cut it with a knife. But whatís even better than the anticipation of Bo and Mel getting together, is when they actually do. It comes in dribs and drabs. A kiss here, a touch there, its heady stuff.  As packed with sexual overtones as Mel and Boís story is, it also tugs at your heart strings for both of their troubled pasts. Surrounded by a cast of very colorful and endearing characters, including beautiful Dimi and her own heartwarming love story, Mel and Bo find something that comes pretty close to being perfect. Aussie Rules is a suspenseful, fun, and sensual story that left me smiling at the end.
