Brooke Welch is at the end of her
rope. She has been a surrogate mother to her younger sister
since the death of her parents and now her kid sister has
gotten pregnant. The man who was with her sister is
apparently already engaged though, and she sees him as a
careless heartbreaker. Add to this the fact that the
factory where she works has changed hands and everyone is
concerned for their jobs and she might just do something a
little rash.
Brooke sets out to kidnap the father of
her sisters’ baby but instead manages to kidnap Alex
Bradshaw, the new owner of the plant where she works. The
interesting thing is that Alex is so drawn to her that he
doesn’t reveal who he is when she finally gives him a
chance. Eventually Brooke will find out who Alex is and he
will ask her for help solving a mystery at the plant.
Brooke will need to determine what she feels for Alex before
she goes too far along with helping him. And will Alex be
able to tell her what he is feeling?
What an absolute hoot. I love the fact that this writing
team not only uses an unconventional kidnap scenario, with
the woman being the napper, but I love her weapon of
choice. I found the interactions between Brooke and Alex to
be some of the funniest characters I have seen in a while.
I like how people can tell Brooke’s mood by the number of
things that have been broken recently. The team has found a
successful genre to practice their craft in and have a
winner with A Perfect Fit. I look forward to
more from these ladies and recommend you get A Perfect
Fit for a fun evening read. |
