Hurt in the past by people who were
supposed to love them, Bram Blackstone and Declan O’Malley
guarded their feelings and their hearts by hiding behind
work and faceless one-night stands. Neither man was
prepared for the emotions they felt for each other when they
met, it was an attraction so strong that even placing
thousand of miles between them was not enough to deter it.
Finally giving in to the inevitable, the lovers’ happiness
is short-lived when the past comes back and threatens to
destroy their future.
Tortured Souls picks up the story of Declan
and Bram, where it left off in the prequel Going Against
Orders. Bram the big, sexy Native American with a big,
warm heart to match is in New York City trying his hardest
to forget about Declan and failing miserably. While in
Oklahoma, Declan, the sweet compassionate doctor who worries
more about others than himself is also having a hard time
putting Bram out of his mind. This installment of Carol
Lynne’s Men in Love series has the plot elements that
have become a staple for this series, there’s mystery, angst
and hot male on male sex. And Ms. Lynne threw in a twist to
the story that still has me a bit shaken. Even though
Tortured Souls is a sequel in a series, it can be
read as a stand-alone, however, I do suggest reading the
prequels to get the full understanding of the series. |
