Layla Reynolds is like a child at
Christmas. She loves celebrating this one holiday, but
finds herself unable to do so ever since she began her job
with Preston Scott. It seems Preston Scott is not a man to
celebrate anything, least of all a joyful holiday like
Christmas. Things come to a head when Layla is unable to
leave his house during a snow storm, which in turns keeps
them in close proximity to each other. While the weather
outside Preston’s house might be frightful, the air inside
his house is steamy and delicious. Maybe Layla will be
about to change his mind about how to celebrate the upcoming
holiday.
Special Delivery brought
a smile to my face, and I found myself laughing out loud
more than once at Layla’s antics. Whoever has had to deal
with a sour boss, or at least an unemotional one, can relate
to Layla’s problem. I know I did.
Special Delivery is a cute and fun holiday
read. It gives another meaning to the words "Christmas
joy." How about "Christmas naughtiness," instead? Marie
Rochelle is a new talent for me personally, and I can’t wait
to read more from her. |
