Bethany Sinclair is on her way to Texas
via stagecoach, and can’t help but notice the extremely
attractive man riding along. The chains hanging from his
wrists and ankles seem to suggest the man is an outlaw.
Bethany doesn’t have time to ponder whether he is innocent
or a danger to her, because a horrendous snow storm hits and
the stagecoach plows into a ravine. Freezing cold and
stunned, Bethany has no choice other than to trust the only
other survivor of the wreck – the outlaw.
Zack Price can taste his freedom when
the stagecoach overturns in a ravine. After convincing the
innocent beauty to give him the key to his shackles, Zack
leaves her to wait on rescue, but the farther away he gets,
the worse he feels. He knows this might be his only chance
at freedom, but finds there is no way he can leave Bethany
alone to freeze to death. Against his better judgment, Zack
goes back for her, and is glad he did. She is almost dead
from exposure. Lucky for them he's found a cave in which to
hole up.
Zack was the most honorable outlaw I
have ever had the pleasure of reading. His loyalty and
determination to make sure Bethany was rescued brought a
tear to my eye and a smile to my face. His falling in love
made him seem real and just all-around sexy. I loved
Bethany’s plan to keep Zack alive and well. I just wish he
hadn’t waited so long to decide to use it.
Snow Angel by Diana Bold was a great
historical romance. We had an innocent heroine, an
enigmatic hero, and a plot worthy of the best western. I
simply loved it. |
