Kisenia (Kiwi) Wise is still coming to terms with the hell her life became until she was able to escape the Vanos prison camp. Kiwi has semi-settled on a science vessel and works as a mechanic, but she still watches every ship that docks and very person who comes around where she is. Kiwi is aware that if the same Vanos who had her can find her again, they will take her. Right now her biggest worry is her attraction to one of the scientists – one who is cocky, knows way too much, and is too sexy for words.

Dr. Conell Ballou wants Kiwi and has since he met her. Conell just does not know how to approach her so that Kiwi won’t take off and run again. Part of the problem is he is half Vanos, and another problem is that no matter how intelligent Conell might be, words escape him while around Kiwi. Afraid he might miss his chance and with some cheering on, Conell decides to make his move.

Conell and Kiwi are discovering that their relationship is changing for one filled with lust, love, and heat that can’t be denied. Just as things begin to get interesting, people from Kiwi’s past start showing up.  The first, Kiwi and Conell both know well and holds a story that entwines them both. But the others are part of the Vanos who held, tortured, and are the reason that Kiwi has synthetic parts now. When Kiwi believes she has to risk herself and her happiness to save her friends, can Conell prove that he is part of her past, present, and future?

Magnetic Attraction shows that sometimes your parents just might know what’s best for you. Kiwi was kidnapped and tortured while being taken to the man who was picked for her to marry. Conell has immersed himself in his scientific studies until Kiwi shows up on his ship and explodes his world. Together, Kiwi and Conell take heat to another level. I wasn’t surprised when I read about just how they were meant to be together, nor how they fought to keep what they had found. I have come to expect kick-ass heroines and heroes who know the term alpha well from Ms. Roth and I was not disappointed. Kiwi and Conell are a couple that lost a lot without knowing it and then fought to keep the passion they discovered when they got a second chance. Magnetic Attraction has Sci-Fi and Futuristic aspects, but it's a rough and tumble love story with characters you will want to be side by side with to help in their fight.
