Sigrid is tired of being babied by her
family. She's spent her life trying to prove herself to
them, but with this latest mission, she sees her opportunity
to show them she doesn't need to be protected.
Bjorn knows this gorgeous woman is
nothing but trouble. He doesn't understand why his superiors
think they can send a woman in the midst of six soldiers and
not have problems crop up. Like the fact the men are hiding
more than just desire, and the creatures they are battling
aren't easy for humans to kill.
Bjorn's Mate is a sexy tale filled with danger
and surprises. Sparks strike when Sigrid and Bjorn first
meet, and it only gets hotter until they give in to their
desires. I really enjoyed their developing relationship. I
couldn't relate to the heroine in that she wanted to go out
and risk facing death to get core samples the soldiers could
get for her, but it fit her personality and makes her a
great match for Bjorn. Except he wants to keep her safe, and
Sigrid proves from the start that she's not having any of
it. I don't see why Bjorn thought a ménage would prove
something to Sigrid when the subject had never come up
before in the story. It just let her act on her attraction
for another man. An attraction I wasn't aware Bjorn knew
about. I'm not complaining, though. The scene was hot and
well written. I'd love to see stories for the other men on
Bjorn's team. |
