After the terror attacks, Daelyn is left
to protect his younger sister, Delia, from the Regulators that
ravage their town. Dae suffers terrible abuse from McBane and
others in order to protect her.
A band of Regulators arrive lead by Coby
and soon things make a dramatic turn for Dae. He starts to
hope for something for the first time in his life. Coby said
Dae belonged to him now, but McBane will never give him up.
Scarred is a story full of
emotional turmoil and violence. The graphic scenes are hard
to read, but impossible not to. Scarred is a
moving and highly imaginative story. Dae’s existence is
plagued by violence, rape and torture, and therefore may be
hard for some to read. Scarred is a poignant
and gripping story that left me emotionally spent when I
finished it. I really enjoyed it and I thought it was very
well written. |
