This year Jessica Newton is taking time and escaping the hustle and bustle of the Christmas holiday.  She’s rented a cabin and is leaving everything behind for two weeks.  It appears however, that Christmas won’t leave her alone.

Zach, a ghost haunting her cabin wants a perfect Christmas before he heads into the light.  All the Christmas’ before he got stuck with scrooges in his cabin.  No one wanted to celebrate Christmas.  Not this year.  This year, whoever occupies his  home is getting the full blown Christmas cheer.  But Jessica, this year’s tenant, turns out to be more than what he ever hoped for.

In the Spirit got me back into the Christmas spirit for sure!  Even in April, when I read this story, I could feel the holiday season through Ms. Stacey’s words.  Jessica and Zach are characters you’ll absolutely love.  Even with the temp in the 80’s these days, you’ll be whisked away back into December.  In the Spirit is very imaginative and special.
