| Bain Duncan moved from Florida to Dallas to start a new
life after his wife left him for another man. After the way
his wife treated him, the last thing Bain needed was to get
tangled up with another woman. However, his libido seems to
have other ideas, especially when his co-worker Ally Briscoe
is near. Nevertheless, at the moment Bain is determined to
keep his distance away from forming any relationship with a
woman. Ally Briscoe has asked the office hottie, Bain, out
twice and both times he nicely, but firmly, turned her down.
The first time Ally saw Bain, she instantly knew that he was
the one for her; but, Bain barely acknowledged her existence.
Ally is at a huge loss until Claud, the office cleaning guy,
suggests that she should use Valentine’s Day as a seduction to
win Bain over. Dare Ally follow Claud’s suggestion?
I found A Cupid’s Work is Never Done to be a
great story filled with heartache and sensual romance. Bain
carried around a lot of emotional baggage and was struggling
to put his life back together. He was very reluctant to jump
into a new relationship and who could blame him. But, when
Ally decided to turn up the heat along a little aid from
Cupid, Bain didn’t have a chance. When Ally and Bain finally
came together it was dynamically hot and explosive. I was
definitely turned on by their passionate, sexual encounter.
The plot moved at a swift pace and before I knew it the
conclusion was upon me. Overall, I thought A Cupid’s
Work is Never Done was a cute Valentine’s Day story. |
