Needing
time to himself before starting a career he’s not sure he
wants, James takes a much needed trip to Australia.
Remembering how he loved working on his granddad’s farm in
the states, James wants to experience what it was like to
work on a real Australian farm. Venturing into the bush he
never expected to love working on a sunflower farm and never
expected to fall in love with Lochlan, the landowner who was
fourteen years his senior.
Lochlan
‘Lochie’ expected to live a lonely and celibate life, until
James ‘Jamey’ happened into his life. Lochie’s friends and
family didn’t know he was gay and he was intending to keep
it that way, but doing so may mean losing the best thing
that has ever happened to him.
Harvest Heat was hot, sexy and very loving. Lochlan
and James were two very emotional guys. For Lochie falling
in love was a scary experience and the fear of losing what
Jamey so freely offered him brought forth feelings he has
never experienced before. Jamey was torn between two
worlds. I felt for him because he found what he wanted on
Lochie’s farm and in Lochie’s bed but he was very insecure
regarding the depths of Lochie’s feeling for him. And on
top of being willing to give up his career back home he also
knew if he decided to stay with Lochie his father would turn
his back on him. Both men had some tough choices with big
consequences. Aside from Lochlan and James, I took a liking
to few of Lochlan’s mates, especially Jacko. I have a
feeling there will more to tell about him. Harvest
Heat was a sweet story and I really enjoyed it. |
