Ex-FBI agent Sloane Burbank suffered an injury that cost her her career and Derek Parker, the man she had been seeing at the time.  A little over a year later, Sloane and Derek are reunited when a childhood friend of Sloane’s disappears.  Sloane and Derek reluctantly work together to find Penny and in the process discover some connections to other missing girls. As they get deeper into the case, the killer’s real plans unfold. Sloane is unknowingly the star of his twisted and deadly play.  

Twisted has terrific suspense with a crazed killer and a tumultuous romance between Sloane and Derek. Sloane is very tough and independent and Derek is very personable and sexy. I thought Sloane was a little to hard edged but she and Derek complement each other very well and they have great chemistry, especially in bed. Twisted is an excellent story with an unexpected ending.
