Each of the
extended family members attending a family reunion in sunny
California have a story to tell. Things are heating up on the
beach and in the hotel rooms, but it's not all sun and fun.
There's a psycho on the loose and he's making his presence
known at the Hotel Del Moor. They each become entwined in
each other’s lives as they band together to save each other
from what's to come.
Weekends is a
very extreme and intense story. With elements including rape,
sexual, physical and emotional abuse as well as incest, it's
gritty and even frightening and disturbing at times. To say
that it’s not for the faint of heart is an understatement. I
felt the lack of birth control between the couples should have
been addressed in some way, but other than that I found
Weekends to be a very well written story with amazing
characterization, riveting scenes and tender romances. I
couldn't put it down. |
