Fashion
designer Evelyn Barnard tries to appease her friends and let
loose at one of San Francisco’s nightclubs, even though she is
apprehensive about the whole thing. But the night reveals
endless possibilities when she catches the eye of a blond god,
who is, surprise, surprise, interested in her – her with her
size fourteen, plump body.
Kiros Karis, aka “The Spawn”, has had
more women than he cares to count, but he has never wanted
anything beyond a one-night stand. This belief is challenged
once he discovers that his latest pick-up, Eve, could be his
mate. However, Kiros must fight not only his longly held
beliefs, but also unknown enemies who wish to kill him.
Eve’s Spawn is hot with a capital H; I
shudder as I recall the loves scenes between Kiros and Eve. I
love the interaction between the main characters and was
touched by the vulnerability each one experienced, but tried
to hide from the other. However, there is more to
Eve’s Spawn than the love story. The underlying
story of Kiros’ beginnings is a new and intriguing one, and
lends itself to future sequels, which I look forward to
reading. Ms. Morrigan did an excellent job conveying the
quick-rising, but heart-felt emotions these two characters
had, and I believe you will be endeared by Eve and the Spawn,
like I was. |
