Marc Chase is the youngest of the Chase
brothers. Captivating, handsome and just downright flirty, he
has won the hearts of many women in his hometown. While not
lacking for female attention, it is the heart of one woman in
particular that Marc wants for his very own, Liv Davis’. The
woman who used to date his brother. The woman who makes him
sweat. The woman who suddenly with one innocent kiss makes
him begin to crave forever.
Olivia “Liv” Davis has pretty much given
up on finding a man to spend her life with. Tired of boring
dates and men not committing to her, Liv is resigned to her
fate. Until the youngest Chase brother turns his wiles on her
and Liv’s emotionally battered heart begins to warm. Knowing
that Marc is a ‘love em and leave em’ kind of guy, she decides
to not fall in love with him. Easier said than done, because
before Marc is through with her, she loves him more than she
ever thought possible, which scares the total daylights out of
her. Everyone she has ever loved has left her and if Marc
decides that forever is not what he wants, Liv doesn’t think
she will be able to handle the devastation of letting him go.
Marc has a fight on his hands to convince
Liv she is the woman for him. Armed with the famous Chase
technique of wooing women, Liv doesn’t stand a chance against
his charm. Or does she?
Chased is extraordinary. Completely different
from the previous two installments of Ms. Dane’s, Chase
Brothers series, I found myself enthralled with Marc. A total
ladies’ man to the core, I was at first as unsure of him as
Olivia. Charming to the core, his wooing of Liv was
exquisite. I have to hand it to Liv for her stubbornness and
tenacity in keeping him at arm’s length because I would have
caved with the first present.
Chased is the
third installment of Lauren Dane’s Chase Brothers series. Now
that I have fallen in love with three out of the four Chase
brothers, I can’t wait to fall in love with brother number
four whose story, Making Chase, is releasing from Samhain in
June. |
