An unknown adversary is annihilating defenseless Confederation outposts, cargo ships and even simple farming communities on distant planets. Confederation Admiral Peter Keller, commander of the North Star vows to do everything in his power to destroy this cowardly enemy.  Keller believes that they are at war even if the enemy is unknown and command won’t acknowledge the danger.

Bad luck and poor timing land pirate or privateer as Blaise Risner captain of the Golden Stallion calls himself in manacles and trouble.  Given the choice between three years hard labor at a penal colony on a godforsaken rock or being the personal pet to Admiral Keller on his ship; well, it’s a quick decision.

As Blaise and Peter play their private games in Peter’s stateroom the enemy continues to destroy innocent, defenseless people, their homes and their livelihoods.  Unknown to both men, Blaine may hold the key to valuable information that could turn the tide in this unnamed war.  It may take time to put all the pieces together, time that nobody has if they stand a chance against an evil, ruthless adversary.

Hot Cargo runs the gamut from hot, sizzling BDSM encounters to poignant moments that will tug at your heartstrings.  The main characters in Hot Cargo begin their adventure as brash and arrogant men, emotionally scarred by past experiences and unwilling to take any chance on love.  At times I didn’t like Keller or I didn’t like Risner because of their attitudes or actions towards each other but by the end of this story I was rooting for the pair and loving them both.  Hot Cargo has some BDSM scenes, steamy sex and a terrific romance.  This is a seriously delicious love story.
