Coming
face to face with Sean O’Connell, the man who broke her
heart eight years ago was not what attorney Jennifer Gilbert
was expecting when she agreed to take over her colleague’s
case. From the moment they set eyes on each other again
they both knew time did not diminish the strong sexual
attraction they have for one another.
Putting
the hurt aside Jen gave into her body’s yearnings to
physically be with Sean again, but recapturing what they had
in the past won’t be easy especially when Jen’s current ex
returns ready to commit to Jen.
Finding Jen was quite good. Eight years ago, Jen
was devastated when Sean led her to believe she wasn’t
enough for him. That hurt stayed with her and hovered over
her relationships since then. Her first serious
relationship since leaving Sean was with Rick and when Rick
walked away from her instead of making a commitment her self
esteem suffered another huge blow. The old saying when it
rains it pours comes to mind with the story, for Jen it was
a good thing because in her case it was raining men. No
sooner had she and Sean reconnected on an emotional level,
then Rick returned and neither man wanted to let her get
away. I was very happy for Jen’s happiness to come full
circle. As an Eileen Ann Brennan fan Finding Jen
wasn’t my favorite of her work, but it was an enjoyable
story. |
