Septarian has retired from being an active essence
collector. He considers himself to be an old dragon and is
more than willing to hire others to do the collecting. He
doesn't think anyone can draw him from retirement, but then
Nathaniel, a young prince with a flirtatious attitude, comes
along and with an essence so strong, Septarian knows he has
to obtain it before the knights get to him. When Cid, a
knight and a strong presence from Septarian’s past, shows
up, Septarian fears he may lose Nathaniel before he ever
gets to have him.
The Collectors is quite an original story. It’s
quirky, odd, and interesting.
Knights,
dragons, and princes are key elements of a historical tale.
This tale has those elements, but with a twist. It doesn’t
take place in a King Arthur-esque era; it’s a modern day
tale of half-human dragons and knights who collect the
essences of young princes and princesses to help prolong
their existence. The Collectors is colorful,
funny, filled with interesting characters, and I found it to
be a very enjoyable read. |
